With sales of Innovation Automotive’s launch vehicle, the DFSK EC35 all-electric van, beginning on 7 March, customers will benefit from an expansive network of electric vehicle repair and maintenance specialists through a new partnership with Halfords Autocentre.
With an initial 51 locations across England, Scotland and Wales set to be on-boarded, Halfords Autocentre’s fully qualified and highly trained electric vehicle technicians will carry out servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and recall-related work on all Innovation Automotive vehicles.
Innovation Automotive customers can rest assured that their vehicle will be in the safest possible hands. As well as being an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Approved Training Centre and an IMI Recognised Employer, Halfords is a market leader in hybrid and electric vehicle servicing. The company boasts the largest workforce of IMI accredited electric vehicle technicians in the UK, with plans to enhance its offering still further in the next 12 months.
Drivers can arrange their competitively priced service or repair through Halfords’ easy-to-use online booking platform, by phone or in person at their local centre. Every Halfords Autocentre is open a minimum of six days per week, with selected centres also trading on a Sunday.
Paul Brigden, Innovation Automotive’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to announce our aftersales partnership with Halfords Autocentre. Not only does it add weight to our ambition to provide a seamless end-to-end service for our customers, but it offers them the peace of mind that their vehicle’s performance and safety will be optimised throughout its lifetime.”
Anthony Caie, Halfords Director of B2B services, said; “The new partnership with Innovation Automotive is an example of the efforts we’re making as a company to help the UK transition to cleaner, greener forms of mobility. This is going to be a big year for Halfords in electric vehicles. We will be training 2,000 more colleagues to service, repair and maintain electric vehicles and we are launching an electric car charging solution for our retail customers.”
The announcement builds on a busy start to the year for Innovation Automotive, with the company putting together a compelling package to deliver on its mission of making the transition to electric more simple, accessible and sustainable. The electric vehicle specialist has recently announced a comprehensive roadside assistance package with the AA, as well as a national logistics and vehicle transportation partnership with BCA.
Innovation Automotive is set to launch its debut vehicle, the DFSK EC35, on 07 March. Pricing and detailed specifications for the practical, capable and affordable all-electric van will be announced at launch.
