Hard on the heels of its European ‘online launch’, the new-generation DAF XG+ demonstration arrived in the UK from The Netherlands for its ‘real-life launch’ on 24 June.
It has now arrived at Farnborough Exhibition & Conference centre, just as the world-famous Red Arrows air display team (pictured) was taking off.
The truck is ready for next week’s Innovation & Technology in Transport (ITT Hub) event, where it will be one of the big stars at the two-day show.
Opening on Wednesday 30 June, the new-generation DAF will rub shoulders with a host of other new vehicle and product launches at the biggest exhibition and conference of its kind for 40 years, with 14 major vehicle manufacturers among the 150 exhibitors.
It is the first opportunity to see DAF’s new generation truck range, which is also the first to take advantage of changes to EU rules allowing larger cabs.
ITT Hub – which has been confirmed as going ahead under current Stage 3 Covid rules – is 70% outdors, with the indoors area enjoying a range of Covid-secure measures, including a maximum of 1,000 visitors inside at any one time, plus 4,000 outdoors.
Admission is free, but places which are going rapidly, MUST be booked in advance at www.itthub.co.uk
