Leicester-based 3T Logistics, the transport management technology provider, has undergone a restructuring.
The move creates two group companies, 3T Logistics and 3T Technology, which will be part of the newly formed 3T Logistics and Technology Group.
Steve Twydell, 3T founder and chairman (pictured), says: “This new business structure will enable 3T to grow and provide customers with a sharper and more reactive set of service offerings.
“It’s part of our strategic vision to meet future challenges in the ever-changing transportation industry.”
The new re-branding and group structure is designed to drive the faster adoption of digital transport management, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing the negative impact of transportation activities on the environment.
3T Logistics (the transport management services arm of the group) will focus on its logistics services offering, which includes fourth-party logistics transport management and transport transformation services.
3T’s largest customer base is in Europe, although the company says it has been expanding operations in North America and is looking to continue building and developing regional partnerships.
Tim Fawkes, managing director of 3T, said: “This has been a difficult time for business due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we want to be a leading part of the economic recovery that the global economy needs.
“Despite the damaging effects of the pandemic, we have been able to continue supporting our global customers and we have recently attracted new ones as we push on with developing our service offering.”
About 3T Logistics & Technology Group

3T Logistics & Technology Group is an award-winning, technology-enabled transport management services business, head-quartered in the UK.
Founded in 2000 as a 4th Party Logistics Provider (4PL), 3T quickly expanded into transportation management (TMS) technology and is one of only a few businesses worldwide that operate as an independent 4PL and TMS vendor.
Today the Group operates with two complimentary business units which can provide customers with discrete or blended solutions to suit territory or site. The ability to leverage both divisions can greatly improve our flexibility both operationally and commercially.
