Hultsteins offers an open invitation to see its eco-products demonstrated at ITT Hub 2022

Hultsteins is making a major appearance – with two stands at ITT Hub, Farnborough, Hampshire next week (ITT Hub 11-12 May) – and is throwing open its doors to demonstrate how its products can substantially move your business towards reducing costs and significantly cutting carbon and emissions.

Says Graham Usher, Managing Director, Hultsteins UK and Ireland: “We are delighted to be exhibiting our sustainable Ecofridge hydraulic ‘diesel-free’ refrigeration and Ecogen electric generator systems at ITT Hub 2022.”

It is part of Hultsteins solutions for the challenges that temperature-controlled operators are facing:

  • Red diesel tax rebate withdrawal
  • Carbon and emission reductions
  • Operating cost reductions

“The savings we offer will not only mitigate the massive diesel price increase which came into force in April but will enable you to reduce fuel consumption on your fridge operations by 70% to 90%, compared to your current spend,” he says

Continues Graham: “On our outside stand (C602 – next to Cold Chain Hub) we will be exhibiting our 18 tonne multi-temperature 8.5m long rigid, fitted with our EcoFridge Slimline 15, host unit and coupled to our slimline rear evaporator. The unit is fitted with Intellistart – our auto stop-start. This enables remote cooling of the fridge using the main Euro 6 truck.”

The fridge works in tandem with the Euro 6 truck engine, which will stop and start to maintain the pre-set temperature of the load. It does this safely. The truck cannot be stolen when the engine is running and the cab is locked. This is ideal if you can’t plug the fridge in on electric when the truck is stationary.

It’s also fitted with Hultstein’s unique extra heat kit. This taps into the main engine coolant system of the truck. The hot water is pumped through a secondary set of pipework built into the fridge where its controlled and then delivered into the body using the existing high-capacity fans.

The cost to run this is virtually nothing as it is only running the fans. This is ideal for pharmaceutical distribution or operators that need to carry loads from +10°C to 30°C.

Also showing on its indoor stand (1743 in the Cold Chain Hub) is its Ecogen hydro-electric generation system. This transforms any marque of trailer fridge, coupled to the tractor, into an electric fridge. Already competitively priced and proven to pay for itself in around 18 months, Ecogen is now available from as little as £65 per week with Hultsteins Leasing Solutions, subject to usual terms and conditions.

Adds Graham: “So please join us for what promises to be an informative and enjoyable couple of days. Meanwhile, if you would like any information prior to your visit, please give me a call or email and I will come straight back to you. See you at the show!”
