eVan guru Brian Bachelor, previously Group Corporate General Manager at West Way Nissan, has joined YOYO MultiDrops as a Director to spearhead the company’s growth and sales of the award-shortlisted YOYO MultiDrops system.
Brian Bachelor has over 30 years of experience in the commercial vehicle sector with Volvo Trucks, Isuzu, Mercedes CV, Mitsubishi, VW Commercial Vehicles and most recently Nissan.
He has been working on electric vehicle specification and sales for the last six years, becoming known as ‘the eVan guru’.
Brian Bachelor says: “The adoption of electric commercial vehicles has been too slow and our mission is to change this.
“YOYO MultiDrops is something that can ease the cost and migration to an electric fleet and it has significant benefits for specific applications too.
“Body types can be changed, picked up or dropped off, allowing floor level loading and freeing the cab for other work, adding to buyers’ eco-credentials.”

Mike Huntriss, CEO of YOYOMultiDrops added; “Brian joins us at a time when we are making steps into sales from the innovation, proven technology and manufacture stages. We are really pleased to have him on board.”
In other news, YOYO MultiDrops is one of five organisations shortlisted under the Innovation Award category in the 2021 What Van? Awards. Winners are to be announced on 10 December. YOYO MultiDrops is also featured in a SkyTV programme in December on Green Technology in Transportation.
About YOYO MultiDrops
YOYO MultiDrops is a revolutionary system that transforms a 3.5t/4.25t chassis into a multi-use, multi-role vehicle, capable of being used in mixed fleets with unlimited types of bodies. The unique system enables loads to be lowered to ground level and exchanged with minimum delay.
The YOYO system has undergone rigorous in house and third party testing, in line with British and European standards and directives. Type Approval is not required, as the load frame is deemed to be a payload. This frees the converter from the expense of approval schemes or the delay of an IVA.
Lifting and lowering is controlled by a single operator, usually the driver, via a two button handset, obviating the need for additional on-site lifting equipment. YOYO is non-hydraulic, robust and simple to use.
The patented system is self-monitoring to ensure safe operation in a smooth, controlled action and comes with a host of additional safety features. This leaves users free to monitor their surroundings for potential hazards.
Retro-fits are easy on commercial vehicles up to 5 years old, making them suitable for existing fleets. As a fleet changes, existing load frames can be reused on new vehicles, thereby facilitating cost-effective business expansion.
