Use of data, the removal of regulatory obstacles, making progress, informed decision making and rebuilding the economy are five of the top actions needed to help fleet operators to innovate to reach net-zero.
That was one of the outcomes of the first in a series of webinars – ITT Sessions – with a panel of industry experts from Centrica, Zenobe Energy and Zemo Partnership.
The hour-long session – available to watch on catch-up below – provided insight from direct experience of introducing zero vehicle fleets and infrastructure.
The need for rapid renewal of road vehicle fleets with zero emission vehicles will deliver a substantial contribution to net zero in the long term.
With half of the audience operating in the truck and van sector, an interactive audience poll at the start of the session showed that already nearly one-third already have at least one zero-emission vehicle in their fleet, while almost half will have at least one zero-emission vehicle in their fleet within the next three years

In this session, the panel discussed how fleet operators from the bus, coach, van and truck sectors can make key decisions through collaboration on vehicles, fuels, partnerships and infrastructure.
The panel of experts also provided insight from direct experience of introducing zero vehicle fleets and infrastructure.
The next ITT Session is on Friday 23 April 2021 at 10.30am. Details at http://sessions.itthub.co.uk/Webinar-two
