Decarbonising Britain – The Role of Transport: TRL’s view

The UK’s Green Industrial Revolution vision announced by the UK’s Government at the end of 2020 requires the development of an immediate, comprehensive and well-funded decarbonisation plan to position the country on the right path to achieving net zero by 2050.

This will require major changes to how people and goods move, implemented through a system-based approach.

TRL has a deep technical understanding of new transport solutions and their societal implications, as well as the potential changes required in associated policies and regulations, market structures and energy systems.

On Monday 18th January, TRL’s Head of Environment and Decarbonisation, Anthony Velazquez, will be participating in a BSI webinar entitled ‘Decarbonise Transport: Achieve Zero-Emission Vehicles’.

The webinar will assess the role emerging technologies are playing – supported by standards – in helping to deliver zero-emission/carbon transport and vehicles. Anthony will focus on the topic ‘Zero-emission technologies in Freight Transport’.

Registration for the webinar is free. For more information and to sign up, please click here.
