Electric buses are key to reducing emissions, but require specialised EV planning and scheduling software to realise their full environmental potential.
Already working to develop battery and hybrid trains, Hitachi will work with Optibus – which helps cities and private operators reduce 100k tons of CO2 annually – to become the global leader in net zero fleet operations.
Today, Hitachi Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., and Optibus, a cloud-native AI platform that powers complex mass transit operations in over 450 cities around the world, announce their partnership to help cities and transport providers reach zero-emissions bus fleets.
The partnership combines Hitachi’s digital and operational capabilities with the Optibus AI platform, offering bus operators the ability to manage risk and cost when electrifying their fleet. Hitachi’s turnkey solution will support both the preparation for, delivery of and post transformation optimisation of the fleets.
