Anderson Travel of London has taken delivery of its first ever Irizar Integral coaches, powered by DAF.
The three i6S Integral 12.9 metre, two axle coaches are fitted with 53 luxury i6 Plus seats for extra comfort that feature iLeather panels and piping, seat back tables and a double USB socket to each row enabling passengers to charge as they travel.
Mark Anderson, Managing Director of Anderson Travel (pictured, right, with Irizar UK Sales Director Julie Hartley and Irizar UK Director Juan Irigoyen Aranceta) says: “The specification of these new coaches is perfect for a variety of applications, from holidays and day tours through to airport movements and private hire. We hope that our passengers experience many happy miles on board them.”
Mechanically, the coaches are fitted with safety equipment including AEBS, LDWS and ACC systems, while the driveline is an economical, but powerful 408 hp DAF MX-11 300 engine driving the sophisticated and smooth ZF EcoLife, fully automatic gearbox.
Entertainment is provided by a Bosch smart system DAB radio, CD player and pa coupled to an Actia DVD player with twin flat screen monitors to the front and centre of the coaches.
Irizar i6S coaches feature a powerful Hispacold climate control system which incorporates the Eco3 air purification unit. The Eco3 Air Purifier produces ions and ozone in the correct proportions to disinfect the air circulating within the coach.
It has the additional benefits of removing unpleasant odours within the vehicle, and raising oxygen levels which reduce the risks of driver fatigue. It works whenever the vehicle’s saloon heating or cooling system is active.
The three new coaches will be maintained in house at Anderson Travel from its central London facility. The coaches are expected to remain on fleet for 5 years and replace 3 coaches from a different manufacturer.
