Taunton School has taken delivery of its second Scania Interlink coach, having been impressed with the performance and quality of its existing vehicle which has generated great feedback from students and drivers alike.
The new coach is leased through Falcon Vehicle Solutions, and comes with a two-year repair and maintenance package and will be looked after by local Scania dealer, Scania Bridgwater.
Based on Scania’s K 410 EB4x2 chassis, the new 12.8-metre overall length coach is of the same specification as the previous vehicle, which was the first 57-seat Scania Interlink to be delivered in the UK.
Fitments include three-point seatbelts, a DVD player, USB charging points at each seat, pantograph lockers and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels. Both vehicles were built to the School’s specification to provide the best in comfort and safety for its Students.
The vehicle represents further investment into the respected Taunton School transport fleet.
The school has an extensive transport offering for its students, covering daily transport needs, travelling to events, activities, trips and sporting fixtures all over the UK.
With around 95 children using the transport for their daily journeys to school, approximately 5,000 miles are saved on individual car journeys, thus making an extremely significant reduction of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
Scania Bus and Coach Regional Account Manager, Richard Birt, comments, “We are very proud to supply a second coach to Taunton School following the success of their first, and wish them and their fleet all the very best for the future.”
