Switch Mobility showcases the future of urban mobility at ITT Hub 2021

Global electric vehicle manufacturer Switch Mobility, exhibited its Metrodecker and Metrocity buses at the ITT Hub inaugural show.

The Metrocity EV was the first British built, pure electric bus to enter service on London’s roads and will soon be developed for markets across the world, including Japan. 

Switch has combined over 100 years of British and Indian engineering expertise, with cutting-edge technology to offer their customers the latest innovations in electromobility.

Recently, Switch was one of the companies selected to represent the UK in this year’s JSAE (Japan Society of Automotive Engineers) Exposition. The technology-centred exhibition is one of the most important events for the automotive industry in Japan.

Earlier in May 2021, The Switch factory in North Yorkshire was visited by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London and Tracy Brabin, Mayor of West Yorkshire. The UK leaders joined Dr. Andy Palmer and the team, to see the benefits that TfL’s green investment in Switch is having across the whole country. 

In addition to this, Switch has also recently partnered with technology powerhouse Siemens to support India in their transition to electric, as well as TVS Supply Chain Solutions who will soon be operating 1,000 of their electric light commercial vehicles.
