The delivery of a new Mercedes-Benz Tourismo L, built to Skills’ own custom specification, marks the latest in a fleet reinvestment programme. The new addition joins several other Tourismos that were introduced into the fleet from 2018 onwards.
The fourteen-metre, tri-axle Tourismo L is PSVAR compliant and seats 61 in Travel Star Eco upholstery with three-row cinema-style seating and a centre toilet. A comprehensive safety specification includes Active Brake Assist 4 (ABA 4), Lane Departure Warning and a reversing camera with exterior periphery lighting.
A family-owned business, headed by the fourth generation of the Skill family, the operator and its passengers now enjoys a fleet of almost one hundred luxury touring coaches.
Pete Hallam, Operations Director at Skills, adds: “We are committed to providing coach travel to an exemplary standard. Our previous Tourismos have already impressed passengers and with this latest vehicle, in a generous specification, we hope to exceed expectations once more.”

With its head office based just a stone’s throw from Nottingham City Centre and four dedicated travel shops in Bulwell, Beeston and Derby town centres, the operator remains a firm favourite in Nottinghamshire.
