Blackpool offers free coach parking in bid to woo visitors

Blackpool’s council is making coach parking in the town for – for up to 72 hours per visit (three days) – until January 2022, as part of its bid to restore vital trade.

Blackpool is known as the capital of UK coach trips and holidays with coaches bringing 120,000 coach visitors per year, contributing £30m to the local economy and supporting jobs across the town.

Says trade body CPT: “The decision announced today to offer free coach parking for up to 72 hours for the remainder of the 2021 season will help encourage coaches to return after a challenging year and hopefully the coach parks of Blackpool are full once again soon.”

Announced today, it will come into effect very soon, with a date to be announced.
